Preparing to Use Stripe (Account Creation)

To start taking payments with Stripe, you need to follow a few simple steps.

Create your Stripe Account

Call or text (917) 633-9543 or send an email to support@transformity.tech requesting a Stripe account creation link.

We will send you a link that you can open on your phone or computer.

The link will guide your through a series of prompts, asking you to provide all required information.

We recommend watching the video, but we have also included a short guide below.

*Please make sure to review and follow steps 4 and 7, which are indispensable in this process.

  1. Email and phone number: When you open the link, you will be asked for this information. This will take you to the next screen and prompt the system to send you a code.
  2. Verification code: Please enter the code you received to go to the next screen
  3. Tell us about your business (screen 1): On this screen, you will enter your type of business (usually company) and your business structure (LLC, Private corp, etc)
  4. Tell us about your business (screen 2): Here you will be asked for your legal business name, EIN, business address, industry, and business website (you can use your own website, a facebook page, Yelp page, etc.
  1. Note: You won't see "alcohol" in the drop down menu for Industry. Please type it in the search field. That will bring it up so you can select it. Be sure to do this as failing to do so, could have legal implications.
  1. Verify your personal details: Here you will enter your name, email, date of birth, mailing address, phone number, last 4 digits of social security number, and declare wether you own 25%or more of your company.
  2. Select an account for payouts: Next you will add a bank account to receive your payouts. You will be given the option to search for your institution, select it, and log in. Once you do, you will be able to select the account to which you want your funds to go. You will also be given the option to enter the bank information manually.
  3. Review and submit: This step is incredibly important. At this step, make sure to scroll to "Management and ownership" and click "Edit" next to your name. This will take you to an "Additional information" page. Scroll down and add your full SSN. If you don't you could have problems in the future receiving your daily funds.
