Each customer in your customer loyalty program can have a house account. A house account lets customers pay for transactions with their house account, and pay their house account off at a later time.

Go to the customer's profile and click on the 'House Account' tab

Click on Create Account and complete the form

Paying Off/Adding a Deposit to a House Account

Click on View Details on the customer's house account

Put in a payment amount into the input and press the button to pay.

You will now see the amount paid applied to the balance, as well as a new entry under 'Recent Balance History'

Attach a customer to the sale when ringing up items. If they have a credit balance, it will display a little message informing you.

After clicking 'Pay', under 'Other Options' there will be a payment option for 'House Account'

If there is enough balance on the account (or the customer's credit limit is high enough), the button to pay will be available

House Accounts

Open the nav bar and click on "Customer Loyalty"

Enter customer details and click "Save". This information can be changed later!


Creating Customers

The promotions function lets you create different types of discounts and bundles for your customers.

Below are some simple steps you can follow.

Open the main menu and select "Promotions"

Once in the Promotions page, click on "Create New"

This will open a large pop-up window that will ask you for specific information. Please note that every field is important and the choices you make will affect the promotion.

Determining Promotion Name, Channel, and Duration

In this first field, make sure to use a name that explains what your promotion is. This field is internal, so your customers will not see it, but you must be able to quickly recognize what it means. For instance: "10% off when buying 2 Vodkas," "5 dollars off when buying 12 wines," "3 bourbons 750ml x $50," etc.

This next field is a drop-down menu and you will be able to select two things:

Here you'll determine your promotions duration. You will have three options (starting from the right on the image above):

: This field is optional and is only used when the promotion is limited to items of a specific size. For instance, "all bottles of 750ml." To make a selection, click on the section. This will open one text field, one drop-down menu, and a button.  

: This section lets you select a "matcher." A matcher is an item, department, or tag that is used to select what products you want to apply the discount to. 

 This section is useful to indicate which products will get the actual discount. For instance:

: Here you will choose the kind of discount you are offering.

: These are the rules you will assign to the discount type selected.

If you got this far, you already have a promotion ready to go. Now, there are a few other features you can use to make it even more specific. They are fun, but completely optional.

: This will let you limit the promotion to specific hours. For instance, you have a "Tuesday Happy Hour" that goes from 2 to 5 pm, so any items purchase within those hours, will be discounted. Or you want the discount to be only on "2 for 1 Mondays." Anything outside the specified hours, won't be discounted.

The settings listed here can add extra safety when running promotions. You simply have to slide the toggles to blue or write a value so that they'll apply. They are all optional.

Promotions Setup

After building up a customer database, you can use the Marketing Campaigns feature to send messages to customers.

To create a campaign, navigate to the Customer Loyalty page

You may not see the tab if it is not part of your subscription plan. Please reach out to support if you should see it but aren't.

Here you can see a list of already created campaigns. Press Create Campaign to create a new campaign.

Give a name and description to your campaign


On the second step, compose your message that you would like to send. You also have the ability to add photos. Photos count as two message segments. Note that each 160 message segment will be billed as one message. (Adding emojis changes this math, see information about this on the message composition step).


Now select which customers to send the message to. You have the ability to send to:

The last step allows you to set a time for the campaign to be scheduled at. You can choose to send the campaign immediately or trigger it for some time in the future. 

Campaigns must be marked as 'Active' for any triggers to happen. If I schedule a campaign and then mark it as 'Inactive', it will no longer trigger at the time it was scheduled.

Each campaign creates an 'Execution'. This represents one run of the campaign. You can see which customers were sent a message by looking at the Execution details.

Even though a customer was sent a message, it is not guaranteed to be delivered. If a customer has already replied 'STOP' or has an invalid phone number or there are delivery issues, it will not de delivered to the customer. We are working with our messaging provider to get better visibility in place.
